New Hip Hop Songs Lead New Top Songs USA Entries On Spotify

Based on first-day streams, it looks like hip hop will have a good week on Spotify’s Top Songs USA chart. The chart reflects number of streams from the past week, and it is a tough task for songs to reach the chart before they have been released for a full week. Seven hip hop artists had new songs enter Spotify’s Top Songs USA chart on Friday, June 18, compared to only one non-hip hop artist.

The new hip hop songs debuted at #14, 17, 19, 23, 31, 32, and 44. It remains to be seen how long these songs will remain on Spotify’s Top Songs USA chart, but these are all very good starts. They join a group of songs that have occupied the list for weeks, if not months.
